Question regarding PhysX on a mac

Post by joew » Sat Sep 13, 2008 5:13 am

Sorry for this seemingly stupid question but I've searched around and emailed nVidia and have gotten no response. I was wondering if the PhysX SDK is supported at all on the Mac (or is the linux version usable)? I know back in the day when it was Novodex I was working on a title at work and did have access to using it on the Mac but I can't remember any details :(

Thanks for any info.

Only Windows and Linux I'm afraid.

If you really do need it; I suppose you could purchase a licence and gain access to the source - then port it yourself.

Ah I figured as much. I know we did have a source license from working on console but I couldn't remember if we got it running on the mac or if there was a package.

Thanks!

So it looks like I need to research into physics engines that run on the Mac :(

I would imagine Bullet is ported to the Mac. I consider it one of the best free physics engines there is, I'd start with that. :)
