[PAID] Animator needed to rig existing 3D models

A place for employers, project leaders etc to post if they are looking for people to assist with an Ogre-based project. Please only post in this area if you have a _serious_ project proposition for which you already have something to show for.

[PAID] Animator needed to rig existing 3D models

Post by JDX_John »

My previous post got a bit cluttered, and things have changed a bit, so I am starting again...

I am working on a medical application which allows the user to simulate performing this procedure: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=F0aj6TkQbxc, using a special probe to place a clip on a faulty heart valve.

I already have a 3D model for the probe/clip in IGS format (and can supply a high-poly version if needed), and am buying a textured 3D model of the heart from http://www.3dscience.com. I need to get these animated, and converted to Ogre's format, as soon as possible.

I am splitting this into 2 separate tasks, the probe and the heart. Since we need these done fast, I would prefer to use 2 artists so both can be done at the same time.

Probe/Clip
This will probably involve fairly standard skeletal animation:
1)Split the existing model into 2 parts, the clip and probe, each having ~2K polygons
2)Animate both models, so they can be controlled by the user.
3)Map textures (if needed)
4)Convert to Ogre's model/animation/texture format

Heart
For now, we want to set up a single looping animation to show the beating heart. We can provide videos/animations of what it should look like.
We believe that using morph-based animation is most appropriate for this.

It is crucial that you have some experience how to convert animated models to Ogre format. I can't afford to wait extra days for artists to learn this.

This is PAID work. Please email jdxsolutions{AT}gmail[DOT]com with details of your experience and normal hourly rate.
