Weird call of duty 2 problem on my network.

Basicly, It works online fine, when just either me or my brother plays on a single server. But as soon as both me and my brother both join the same server, We both get insane lag. We are both connected through the same hub, So i think the game server may think we are both on the same computer or something, and is "dividing" the packets between the two of us. Basicly, How can i get around this?
