Works fine in Windows 7. Like Chance, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit (Pro), and I have no issues running Torchlight.boyamer wrote:I've test it out but no support on Windows 7,Ogre itself works on 7 but Torchlight not, that sucks

It also works on crossover games. Im currently a crossover advocate and the game runs really smooth (even on max settings) on here =]

I meant: it is a matter of long, long time before Windows Seventy-Two goes Gold.Rambus wrote:It's still no windows XP.jacmoe wrote:OMG - a time-traveller!Rambus wrote:I can also confirm it runs on windows 72

Personally, I really hope Windows would be long gone by then.

Awfully off-topic - sorry.

Woops my dry humor went unnoticed!
I'm indeed a time traveler, but much like Vista failed to replace XP, so has 'Windows Seventy Two'.
Now that I have explained my own joke (noticing no one laughing) I'll stop derailing this thread

Re: Torchlight

I guess I am slightly bored right now because I just started my Kubuntu upgrade - what a mistake: How can I play Torchlight now? 2 days and 16 hours remaining..

Should I hi-jack my neighbours PC ?

Re: Torchlight
The average user rating for Torchlight is 9.2 (out of 10) - looks like the gamers like it!

Especially when you consider that Borderlands also released for the PC the same day as Torchlight (and a week before on consoles).

Hello.
How do you use OGRE with C#, did you use MOGRE or did you create your own wrapper?.

Re: Torchlight
They didn't use C#? Looking at the Torchlight directory, it's all basic OGRE files, and the Torchlight.exe isn't a .NET assembly (I just checked). Unless you mean in the editor, but I haven't gotten my hands on that yet, so I have no idea what it was written in.smernesto wrote:Hello.

Re: Torchlight
I believe he means the editor as earlier in the thread Travis stated that TorchED was built in C#

Re: Torchlight
Yes, I want to know how they used C# and ogre in the Editor, and maybe what are the reasons for that choise.

It's an extremely common choice, Smernesto

Why? I started a new thread on this question, in order to not hijack the Torchlight one here. This one should stay focused on its original purpose: Informing us about a great gamesmernesto wrote:Yes, I use C# in my editor also.

Re: Torchlight
Since I'm writing an Ogre wrapper for CL this is a question I've been curious about: How much of Ogre does Torchlight use?
A bit of a generic question that can be answered in several ways but I'm curious in a list of all the Ogre classes and their methods being used for a game of this magnitude.

Re: Torchlight
It is possible they exposed their higher-level engine functionality to the editor and not raw Ogre classes. In fact, that's what I would do if I had an engine built out of Ogre and needed to put an editor on top of it. I would rather expose the high-level functionality than individual libraries underneath.

Re: Torchlight
Well at some point they still have to make the calls to Ogre. I'm curious about those calls.

Re: Torchlight
I'm also interested in how exactly the editor interface with Ogre. I mean, I imagine there was a wrapper that was created? Any info that you can provide? Thanks I appreciate it
