My new motherboard (ASRock A780GXH) supports HDMI_SPDIF to route audio to the video card's HDMI output. Does anyone know where to buy such a cable?? The mobo didn't come with one, and I can't find one anywhere online (newegg, monoprice, Fry's, etc...).

I bought the A780GXE a while back and it didn't come with one either. It came with the graphics card I bought (an MSI 9600GT) check your graphic's card box for one.

My graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 4870) didn't come with one either, but apparently I don't need it. I ran HDMI from my graphics `card to my HDTV, and bam! I had audio. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's nice too, because Windows 7 lets me chose whether to route audio through the HDMI or to the computer speakers, meaning I can switch between audio in the bedroom where the computer is, or in the living room where the TV is without having to unplug anything. :D

ismail,
I remembered you telling me you could pull audio through the HDMI on the video card, but I didn't remember you saying it pulled it directly off the bus. I thought that cable was what pulled it. My bad.
