Really small team projects.

A place for employers, project leaders etc to post if they are looking for people to assist with an Ogre-based project. Please only post in this area if you have a _serious_ project proposition for which you already have something to show for.

Really small team projects.

Post by Valerien »

Err.. maybe the title doesn't match what i've got in mind. Well, i didn't know how to say that.

For now, i haven't used ogre that much... and programmed, too. In fact, i'm a game artist, working on Warcry, the first game of Elseware team (http://projectwarcry.com/ most of the shown screenshots are out of date, a shader programmer was recently recruited).

Well, i've read Ogre 3D programming book, and now i'm searching for someone to work with. To make small projects, like technical demonstrations, little editors... special shaders... not big game. Let's say, for training. I can handle graphics and music (i'm learning musical harmony with a teacher), but i'd like to participate to the programming part, 'cause that's what i need to learn.

Here you can take a look at my portfolio (the website is unfinished, as i learned php 1 week ago).
I've already worked in teams, on bad projects (the kind of projects that can't work) as on good ones (i'm now working with professionals).

Hope someone will be interested in.

Hi!

Please could you tell what do you want to learn :
How to use a programming language ?
How to do simple demos ?
How to construct tools?
How to manage a 3D engin?
How to manage a whole framework?
Specific technical stuff (IK, shaders, ...)?

What kind of demo would like to set up?
Technical demo (<=> hard to code) ?
Library demo (<=> use a library already done, do the binding and setup a scene that demonstrate the library) ?
Visual demo with small amount of interactivity (<=> "pseudo cinematic") ?

It's just to see more clearly what you really want to learn and do.

BTW I am french too  .

Well, i've already learned C/C++ basics. I don't remember really well stl containers... but, reading again some courses will refresh my mind.

Mhhh... well, i'd like either to construct tools (map editor, scene editor, for example ?), or to make technical demos like... a game demonstration (coding a 5 mn long game system using multiple librairies/engines), or simply a sample environment for showcase.
I don't want to make projects that would take 1 year to finish. I'd like to learn how to program first visual demos, then 3d game systems from scratch.

Let's say... what i'm mostly interested in for now is : coding shaders (like cool water shaders, humid surfaces, step cone mapping, normal mapping, ssao etc.), then being able to use them in self-made scenes, and coding both a map and scene editor (with basic tools to begin).
