Hi, I am Juan, but you can tell me Jhon if you like, I am from Spain, Seville city for more dats, I have 20 years old and currently I am studing Ingenier Informatic at the unevirsity of here, at first curse, and i will have to redo it because i fail a lot of exams
I founded this page because one night I had an idea, to build my own game, or join into one who do it, so i satrted looking at a motor engine, it was the first, because i can´t do anything without it, i founded a project called agre and i liked the gallery, has nice graphics and its free, so i registred here, and now i am presenting me.
My experience with programing its zero, i know a lite of java, but i am doing a dce curse of microsoft to learn who to use visaul studio, and i learn quick. However i can do a litlle things with the Gimp, and similars programs
Now I am using windows 7 RTM, but i like more Ubuntu (here is the favorite of a lot of people) and anything program based on gnu license or similar, created by people like us, with passion and efort, with the olny reward is to look who people use it
My hobbies are cars and computers, I worked at a workshop(Is that trhe word?, is a place where I repair others cars with engine broken or damage) 2 years, and others 2 years like technician informatic in 2 diferent companys. Now i have 3 cars and only work 1, the others 2 are being restaured, and 1 of it didn´t have engine and transmission on it. There are a R5 1.1 with 34 cv(renault superfive) who is my principal car, a R19 chamade 1.4 with 90 cv but the engine is in at the porterage (The place in the car with contains the auxiliar wheel) and my favorite, a bmw 530i of the 92 with a v8 (not hemi  ) with 218cv, and is my little baby :D
In respect my computers, i have 2, a laptop toshiba satellite pro l300, and my pc, who has an amd x2 4400, 2 GB ram, 160 Gb of hard disk and a 8600GT, all on a gigabyte motherboard ma78gm-s2h, I dont have a perfomance computers, but for me its enought

Thats all, I will enjoy this forum with all of you and the ide that is here making a beatiful game and reading other menbers
P.D I apologyse of my English, I doesn´t have a good level of it, but day by day i try to improve it

Welcome to the forums!

I dont know much about cars... I drive a 93 Oldsmobile. One night a raccoon climbed in a open window and chewed up the arm rest (I think I had some skittles in there). Then a couple years ago somebody stole the hubcaps. My car is a babe magnet.

Wow, and you're 20 years old? I'm still pondering on when I could get my hands on my first (>300cc) motor-bike, and I've almost concluded that it'll take me another 5 years atleast before I can draw out financial plans! You're pretty fast, man!

Uf, if i could buy one Oldsmobile i will have one, it is the type of car i like, a big car with american´s essence, but europeans doesn´t like that type of cars, they prefer germans, so, there are a lots of salesman of cars who bring it froms Germany, and the market is saturated with a lot of bmw, mercedes, vw, audis,.... and find a good clasic like El Dorado or the Seville it is imposible.

I´m saving for a mustang, but ford doesn´t sell it in Spain :(

Enjoy that car, I will do if i have one

Now I would be finishing the degree, but i prefered to work, i started working with 16 years, and i lost 3 curses at school/university,and earning 1.000 € por month with no bills to pay or food because i live with my parents, i buy a car every year. You sholud finish the school with 17, and start university doesn´t take any year extra, so i am with a delay of 3 years, 4 if you count this year. I doesn´t feel proud of it
Here with 18 you an drive, and my fisrt car was the r5, a shit with wheels, and six motnhs ago i bought the bmw, my father doesn´t like it for me, he says that is very fast and dangerous, it can reach 160 milles por hour without effort, and if you have a crash at 250km/h you know that you are death. But i like speed and adrenaline, and i love rotonding (burn wheel in roundabouts  ) I love doing nonsenses with cars, and for that i need a fast car.

I lked too motorbikes, especially the cbr 600cc or the suzuki hayabusa 1300cc, but my father forbiden me any moto, an accident with a car is one thing, one with a moto is an arm or a leg less, the handrails of here cut you, if you crash with your hand it will cut it, and you will be death, but in a car, you will destroy it, and maybe you will broke a bone, who is really far of lossing it.

Now, If i can, i will study and forget the idea of working, i has lost 3 years of my life, but nothing happens, life continues

Haha, join the club mate!

Yeah, cars are safer. Same thing from my parents too - constant ranting about how dangerous it is to drive a bike around. I hope someday they introduce some method to put airbags into bikes, atleast it could salvage something from a crash :P

I'm dreaming of the day when I can get my hands on the Hayabusa... Damn.... I'd probably be the first real thin, lanky, un-tattooed, non-alcoholic bike hunk to drive it!

I'm lucky to come from a family with petrol in our veins. :P My parents, and some of my grandparents are into motorbikes & cars. There's nothing like going for a blat in a car with serious torque, or a winding road on a nimble bike. :D That said, I live far away from any city, so there are less cars to try and knock me off, and if you fall off you doing it wrong! :P

My current toys are a pretty standard Toyota Supra, and my pride and joy, a 1973 Norton Commando 750. The bike is not the fastest thing around by any means, but its serious fun, and the noise it makes with a open throttle!!!!!!! That and every weekend you get to play mechanic just to keep it going which is fun in its own way. Kind of like tinkering with computers.

So welcome to Ogre3d and the forums Juan!

P.S.
Pic of my bike - note its a fairly large picture....http://www.atkinson.gen.nz/images/bike/100_0160.jpg

The torque is fundemental for me, never are enought par or horsepower  The bad thing is that all my cars are manual, and the bmw waste the Clutch in nothing and less  , and is a little expensive and very busy to replace it (I do myself), about 15 or 17 hours

I live in the city, in the centre. At Spain the gas is very expensive, the litre of 95 (normal gas) cost already 1.10 €, and the car has 80 litres, who make an 90 € at the gas station, in dollars it can be 140 $ , so you can imagine..., now i already using the sevici (http://www.sevici.es/) that are municipal bikes, but real bikes, not a big motorbike :D , who are free and you can move faster in most cases than cars
So, enjoy because i dream every night to be in your place, and have to do 100 kilometers (166 milles) to work

Is the supra 3000? That is a very fast car, is it automatic?

Your bike is very nice, it seems to be like new, really, is noticeable that you like it and you will stay with more than one night fixing or improving it
My car store parts have one similar than your and it makes a very loud noise, when he start the engine, the rest of people have to wait until we go because you can hear anything else, so i can imagine yours

Its a 1993 Mk IV, 3.0L 5 speed manual shift (which I prefer in a sports car). It's a non-turbo version, but I guess that means I use less gas and it's sill goes like a rocket :)
I haven't heard them being called a supra 3000, but I guess its the same thing. Got to love a straight six. :)
