I just built the OGRE library to start playing around with and the first tutorial made my day: ColourValue( 1, 1, 1 ) . A library that is actually using correct English spelling rather than the American versions. So thank you, its the little things in life

Has a lot to do with Sinbad being from, and living in, the UK.

This reflects one of my little pet hates over my programming career of having to 'misspell' things all the time because most APIs are written in American.

In my small way I've balanced things out a bit

Of course, "FarbWert( 1, 1, 1 )" would be even better.

I guess it is an evil master plan intended to spread English spelling. I hate mixing English and American. So with Ogre I naturally use English spelling in my code as well.

/rubs hands & cackles

Oz, NZ and Canada (mostly) spell things our way too.
But, I screwed up early on and spelt 'serialise' wrongly, probably because the only time I'd ever used the word was in relation to American APIs. I've fixed this in newer classes (StreamSerialiser) but some older ones are still spelt wrongly (Serializer) because it's not worth the disruption to change (I could typedef & add new header files I suppose but that looks kinda weird and pedantic).

When I went to school (in Finland) it was British English I was taught. The American English only came later - and messed things up!

Since my code tends to be a patchwork of found objects (especially shaders) there's colour and color all over the place. Colour for the code I wrote (being Australian), color for the found stuff.

Heh, I love this too. I go to an Indian school here, and we Indians spell everything the British way.

Bah, in the end, they're both misspelling of the french "couleur"

So, we must create a latin wrapper for Ogre ?
