Programmer needed (UK)

A place for employers, project leaders etc to post if they are looking for people to assist with an Ogre-based project. Please only post in this area if you have a _serious_ project proposition for which you already have something to show for.

Programmer needed (UK)

Post by Andrew_B »

Hi All,

I am looking for a programmer to help with a proof of concept project that I hope will lead to at least one major project. There will be limited budget for the initial project, with the full one properly funded.

I only need a programmer as assets will be created in-house. I am new to games/real-time 3D, so will need a little guidance with regards to asset requirements - my company normally works in the field of CGI for print (see http://www.postworksmedia.co.uk), so this real-time thing is new for us, but if this goes well I hope to initiate a number of projects in the future.

I do expect this to be fairly simple to you 3D programmers (!).

Please contact me through the web site or e(at)postworksmedia(dot)co(dot)uk if you're interested.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Andrew

What technology will this project be using?
/* Less noise. More signal. */
Ogitor Scenebuilder - powered by Ogre, presented by Qt, fueled by Passion.
OgreAddons - the Ogre code suppository.

Hello again!

Thanks for your replies and responses.

In answer to Zonder and jacmoe:

- this is not for a game, so I guess it's real-time work.

- re. technology, I'm new in this area of CGI, so I am open to ideas, and hope to make a decision based on the best way to achieve what's needed.

Sorry if that still sounds ambiguous, but I'm used to huge models and huge renders taking hours, not this real-time kind of thing. OGRE caught my eye as part of a possible solution, hence my post here, but the engine can be any open source one. Unfortunately I can only provide more details under an NDA.

Best,

A
