Looking for a programmer for a racing game

A place for employers, project leaders etc to post if they are looking for people to assist with an Ogre-based project. Please only post in this area if you have a _serious_ project proposition for which you already have something to show for.

Looking for a programmer for a racing game

Post by Walter »

I'm a professinal 3d artist (my portfolio http://walter-nest.deviantart.com/) and I'm currently in early stages of developing a racing game featuring point-to-point racing without AI opponents. I intend to use Ogre for rendering and Newton for physics, that way it should be possible to derive a lot of code from Stunt Playground which had its code freely released. I have good understanding of internal workings of computer games, but my programming experience is limited - I need somebody who will actually implement features with which I came up. Most of them are present in Stunt Playground in some form, so I hope it shouldn't take excessively long to do. A programmer who is also a fan of racing games/sims would probably be best.

I want to make a racing game too, but I am amateur.
All I did is OgreBullet's "Vehicle on Terrain" example with a testing sound on SPACE key. (you can even look at this https://github.com/faesong/saddriver, but in fact it is just a crap).

Buildsystem is tested only on Linux.

If you project will be OpenSource, I would like to help, if i can.
