Vimeo versus Indie game dev

Post by chaosavy »

Found this relevant to my interestes:

Basically a indie game dev had issues with his game related videos on Vimeo.

It apparently features tits ...
The US of A doesn't like those.

Apple has the same policy.
Probably any American-led corporation.

Youtube will probably flag the video and ask any viewers to verify their age, or simply delete it.

No it doesn't.
That was a link to a Jacques Magazine preview video which vimeo is hosting.

Yeah, you're right.
I was probably too tired - and maybe dreaming about tits myself - just read the thing again.
It really sucks.

There are other options out there, so Vimeo is not the great service it once was.
A pity.

Sounds like my usual state of being. :)

Anyone remember Stage 6, the video hosting site run by Divx? I sadly discovered it's superior video quality just before it was shut down.

Bummer, I was actually planning on using Vimeo rather than YouTube, and this kinda crushed my "dreams". :(

you could have both... and be ready to swap them on your site (if that's what you'd use) in case this happens to you - though to me that's a bit too risky.
