Does anyone know or use an advertising provider that allows adverts inside desktop applications?

I don't really, but you could do this:

* Make a webpage with ads only
* Add a web browser/viewer control/widget to you app
* Point it to the said webpage

Seems like a good idea to me, though I don't know if it breaks the TOS of most/any of the existing ad providers.

well it does for adsence but there would be no point in using adsence as it looks at the page to determine ads and you wouldn't have anything there

just asked here on an off chance somone was using in game advertising as thats the same sorta thing

Well I found something you might find interesting here, but then again, you might have already seen it, since it was the first hit on Google.

This topic is quite interesting, it would be useful for lots of developers here on the forums.
