Hi,
I searched the forums. I was wondering if someone can point me to a good blender book, primarly to use it as an export tool. For example, I was having a problem and someone told me that I had to hit Control-A to "realize" the transforms.
I'm not an artist, just a programmer, so it will be helpful if there is a book that can help me. At the same time, I don't have the skills or creativity to do the art in blender, so just basic stuff how to get around.
Or do you guys think that a book is not needed?
thanks,
Francisco

Re: Blender Book
Perfectly good question.
May I suggest that you search YouTube for Blender 3D tutorials?
As for Blender books, I know that they've got a fairly extensive wiki (with books - wikibooks).

Re: Blender Book
I was asking for books that are in the market.
Like from this list
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_scat_ ... 47f9b7c1ce
anyone using any of the books... mainly looking to learn the basics

Re: Blender Book
I have decided for this book:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/024081 ... 00_details
Note that I don't like to read much online... meaning in the computer. However, I have to say that the video tutorials in blender site are great. At least for what I need. I'm a developer, so there is no way that I'm going to do great things. I just need the basics, to use existing models.
I have to say, while not related to the topic, that ogre has great tutorials online.
