I recommend "The Birds of America" Last I saw it was going for about $11.5 Million. Pretty rich vocabulary if you ask me. (Little more than $1 million per word)

In all seriousness, you need to define rich a bit more. Are you looking for poetic vocabulary? complex vocab? rarely used vocab? Made up words vocab?

I don't know if using obscure words would improve of your vocabulary, but it couldn't viliorate it, either. But do it for the words - they need your help!

By rich, I mean: words that are not common (rarely used), sophisticated words, complex vocabulary?? (maybe I have to define complex... ) Anyways, I think I found some books. One of them is shogun

I think that it depends on the kind of vocabulary. For example, I recommand reading the Discworld Chronicles books but it might be a bit hardcore on the vocabulary density, even if they are so funny and insightful.

Also, slang terms and high tech/modern science vocabulary are omnipresent in hard science books, like Accelerando (that is available online for free : http://www.jus.uio.no/sisu/accelerando. ... s/toc.html ) and other books from the same author.
