Hi everyone!
This is fernfreak and gamedboy, and we've been working on an oriental themed RTS for the iPad using Ogre-- the map takes the form of a chinese painting, and players get to use brush strokes to command their armies!
The game is now out on the appstore Cheers!!!

Here are some screenshots (and a gameplay video, which is a bit long...)

Ogre on the iPad is giving us a pretty good framerate, which has been crucial for making the multi-touch gesture controls feel smooth. With around 10 armies/buildings, we're getting around 50+ fps on the iPad 2, and 23+ fps on the iPad 1. Each army is composed of 12 billboard soldiers on average, but the game focuses on fine micromanagement of small numbers of units, so it works out fine for us.
The main slowdown for us has been the batchcount, so we're using Betajaen's Gorilla system to help with overlays (a shoutout here to him!)

If you'd like to find out more about the game, just drop me/fernfreak a note, or you could pop by our pages:

(we're still working hard on sprucing both up though, so comments and suggestions are most welcome!)
