I'm project lead for something called "operation kittyhawk". Operation kittyhawk consists of a bunch of guys, most of which are students in one way or another, Who have decided to team up under one common goal. To make a [open source - only a possiblity at this time] ship simulator. Most people have called us crazy, espcially considering We don't have a Coder. We do however have various skilled 3D artists, beta testers, and, crucially, Experts in the field of all things nautical.
The Key goals of kittyhawk:
- To produce a simulator that is both realistic and appealing
To Have multiplayer intergration
To have realistic physics
To release the simulator as either a open source/freeware program.
To enable users to add there own modifactions into the software
To make the simulator as close to DNV requirements as possible
So, Were looking for driven coders that have alteast some experience in OGRE to join the operation kittyhawk team who are willing to build code from basically the bottom up using Hydrax, skyx, and Newton. However, one major requirement from anyone who applies is that they annotate any code they contribute, so that the workflow can be maximised...
If you think you might be right for this project, send me a PM and I'll get back to you...
WE HAVE NO PAID JOBS FOR OFFER AT THIS PRESENT MOMENT IN TIME.
