Ogre::UserDefinedObject vs User::DefinedObject

Post by mauzi_the_Dude »

Hi,

The userdefined Object is attachable to any object derived by the movable object. So i can create an object holding my information and attaching this to a ogre moveableobject. ( hope im right till now)
Other way round; i could write my object holding both a sceneNode and an entitiy so it lives in the ogre world.

In how far do would these strategíes be differntly with which effekt?

I case of the user defined object i would have to loop throught all my objects when creating the scene and assign it to a entity ( 1 each for every object ) other wise my object must contain a function to init the ogre vars in the application objects scenemanager or root object.

i hope i got this right.

thnx

mauzi_the_Dude: This has been discussed a lot. Did you read the various threads on game engine and game object design?
