Well, most indie game devs will probably tell you that they've got a bunch of games they're "working" on - whether it's an idea, some sketches, or even some code. I've got some of each. ;)

Since I finished Salvation Prophecy, I've been keeping busy with contract game coding work (nothing Ogre3D related). But we'll see how Salvation Prophecy fares on Steam. If I get lucky and hit some kind of steam jackpot, my indie game dev hat is all ready to go, and I'll let you know what I'm up to.

Hiya Ogres and Ogrettes,

Salvation Prophecy is all set to be released on Steam pretty soon. I need some help making sure the game runs properly on Steam before the release.

If you run Steam on Windows or Linux, and don't mind testing the game works, please...
1. send me a message at jabberwocky (AT) salvationprophecy.com
2. let me know if you run Steam under Windows, Linux, or both.
3. I'll send you a steam key
4. email me back and let me know if the game downloaded and launched properly for you.

Thanks in advance!

Hey folks,

I was just going to drop by to share my good news, but it looks like Hydrocity beat me to it. Salvation Prophecy launched on Steam this week. Finally. :)

I dressed it up with a new launch trailer you can see in that link above, but I'll post it here too:

Thanks to everyone who helped support me on Greenlight, very much appreciated!

But whats the problem with the character walking animation? for me it looks like as they're flying over the ground.

Went on Steam the other day and there it was, front page advertised game, Salvation Prophecy. Very happy to see you've got it out there on Steam, awesome job!

Are you in the training holo room? There's no shadows in there, which might cause that effect.

Yeah, my steam guy said they gave it some of that sweet, front page steam advertisement space because the launch was going well.
Works for me. :)

Hi Jabberwocky,

Thanks to your post on gamasutra I saw that Salvation Prophecy went to steam !

Of course from the external world point of view, game developer and youtubers should be aware of the drawbacks of their own jobs; and therefore not be too surprised when "typical difficulties" arise. But it is a vastly different thing to say it (like me) than to live it (like you and them) !

Congratulations,

Pierre
