Hi,
I would like to know what's the current state of the new Ogre byatis feature "instancing" on mobile devices. Is it currently supported on both GL ES 1 & 2?
I couldn't find any clue around in the forum..

Re: Question about instancing on OpenGL ES
It should work just fine with GL ES 2. But no promises for GLES 1.

Re: Question about instancing on OpenGL ES
I just ported my app to openGL ES2 to see if it works, but open GL ES2 itself seem to have some issues.
The log is filled with "ERROR: Cached function not found FFP_Construct" when rendering certain meshes with a temporary slowdown. No idea what it means though

Re: Question about instancing on OpenGL ES
At least at this time I've found that you need to use your own shaders rather than rely on the RTSS. The Instancing demo and it's associated shaders should give you a good starting point
