New blogpost, this time a slightly more technical one: about how the snow on the ground was made. Which was an interesting technical challenge and has some subtleties to make it look good, and some shader fun!
I have written a couple of blogposts comparing statistics from the various games I have worked on, including Snowball Earth! With lots of data, like how stupidly many separate files are in the released Snowball Earth prototype... A lot of optimisation work would have had to be done if we had ever actually finished development of this game!
