The requirements are quite strict, you can see them here (BTW I see now that Australia and New Zealand are now allowed):
http://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/creator+questions
For the US:
—You are 18 years of age or older.*
—You are a permanent US resident with a Social Security Number (or EIN).
—You have a US address, US bank account, and US state-issued ID (driver’s license).
—You have a major US credit or debit card.
Not accessible for us in any way, sadly. Similar problems for UK.
The only way to get into Kickstarter from outside those countries is to find someone willing to help, that lends you his info and bank account data, and you partner somehow at least until the campaign ends. We weren't able to find any volunteers before launch so we were forced to use Indiegogo.
Anyway, although Indiegogo can be a problem itself being the second crowdfunding platform out there (by far), we have a big problem with visibility. Even though the game seems interesting and our feedback and previews are incredibly positive, we hardly reach press and blogs and the visits on our campaign and views on our YouTube videos are horribly low. We are trying to get more coverage, without it we can't succeed with or without Kickstarter. We will keep trying
