Very nice. I like the game style, it reminds me of zone of the enders. Nice work on the particles effects. Would you mind telling us what particle editor did you use? those are some sweet effects.
Keep it up and good luck.

Looks really good, I like the abstract style and physics.

Thank you all for your comments! The truth is we are receiving very good feedback. We hope we reach our crowdfunding goals, but we need more media coverage, they have ignored us a bit lately :P

We use no particle editor. We don't even use particles at all, all you can see are 3D objects, even the interface is made with 3D objects. I know it may sound stupid and expensive, but you should see it in 3D... ;)

Nice, doing exactly the same in my game (also in a cyber space but totally different kind of gameplay). High five!

Just wanted to comment - your game looks even more awesome than before. It is my opinion that Indiegogo campaign isn't doing as well as it should based on the work you put in and the media you put up. Have you thought about going to Kickstarter? There have been a few projects that didn't do great on Indiegogo that exploded on Kickstarter (eg: Frontiers).

I would back your project on Kickstarter, I've become part of that community, but am not a part of Indiegogo's and at this point I'd rather stick with projects on Kickstarter. I don't know the exact reasoning for this - for me personally - maybe I don't want to not split my time between them so to speak. It just seems that Kickstarter has become the bigger player.

Good luck!

Yeah, we would like to use Kickstarter, but we are spanish and access to Kickstarter is limited to USA, UK and Canada. We would need a partner to get into Kickstarter, but we couldn't find any help on that before launch. If this campaign doesn't work we will have to try again, but... there is still plenty of time, right? :D

Thank you ;)

hmm... I thought that was the issue.

When I setup Void Destroyer's Kickstarter - I had to have a US bank account (don't know if a Spanish citizen can get a UK bank account) - and they had me verify my identity via a very simple question and answer segment, where they ask - chose which address you lived in in the past type questions. So it was incredibly easy.

What you can do is - try to create the Kickstarter (its free and automated - so there's no downside to trying) and see what requirements it actually wants and maybe they are within your reach.

Yes, getting a Kickstarter running when you have no friendly contact in the US is almost impossible without a long time effort of getting into their legal system, travelling there, etc. Needless to say, this is also very costly. Almost impossible for small teams with not the right contacts.
Maybe it is easier to create a pseudo-company in the UK and use that for Kickstarter. No idea.

But a lot of people have it like chaosavy and simply do not use IndieGogo, independant of the actual project.

The requirements are quite strict, you can see them here (BTW I see now that Australia and New Zealand are now allowed):
http://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/creator+questions

For the US:
—You are 18 years of age or older.*
—You are a permanent US resident with a Social Security Number (or EIN).
—You have a US address, US bank account, and US state-issued ID (driver’s license).
—You have a major US credit or debit card.

Not accessible for us in any way, sadly. Similar problems for UK.

The only way to get into Kickstarter from outside those countries is to find someone willing to help, that lends you his info and bank account data, and you partner somehow at least until the campaign ends. We weren't able to find any volunteers before launch so we were forced to use Indiegogo.

Anyway, although Indiegogo can be a problem itself being the second crowdfunding platform out there (by far), we have a big problem with visibility. Even though the game seems interesting and our feedback and previews are incredibly positive, we hardly reach press and blogs and the visits on our campaign and views on our YouTube videos are horribly low. We are trying to get more coverage, without it we can't succeed with or without Kickstarter. We will keep trying :P

Thank you for your support ;)

(again my opinion) The media treats Kickstarter projects better than Indiegogo projects - meaning that you'd have a better chance at the media there as well.

And you guys got onto Rock Paper Shotgun - which is huge. For my project that got the ball rolling towards about 10k or so in the last 3 days (hard to know exactly). 10k being 1/2 of my goal and 1/3 of the overall end amount of funds raised - again in 3 days. Quite honestly I think your project would appeal to more people - you guys certainly are more visually unique.

I wonder what sort of US tax ramifications there are for someone in the US "helping" you guys out. Anyway I'll stop bringing Kickstarter up since at the moment Kickstarter is out of your reach.

Finally pushed money for the Multi Media Edition, and posted on my twitter and Facebook and Google Plus.
(Also, relative to the exchange with Sinbad, note that I'm a Rez fan)

Don't worry I already know it's not like Rez (except some graphics inspiration I'd say).
From the trailers, I would have some suggestion on audio not being as good "choice" as it could (in particular the shooting sounds and the kind of ambiance I find would benefit from being not these ones), but I don't want to impact more than that. I'm making a game in a similar kind of graphic ambiance (but less...err...motion-blurry I guess) so I have some strong opinion on cyberspace ambiances but I shouldn't comment more without playing it.

I'll try the build very soon :D

By the way, I like that you got non-up-down movements! Mine goes there too but in a very different way. To clarify, I'm making something closer to a RTS but in a more mindscrewing way.
Damn I wish I had some graphists like yours XD

We are looking forward to reading your feedback ;) We gladly accept any criticism, feel free to tell us your sincere opinion, it won't hurt :P

What do you mean "up-down movements"? We even have vertical strafe

By the way... we are just 2 programmers, we have no graphists, it is all Ogre and a glow shader ;)

I meant that there is no "absolute" up and down.

Very nice! I'm alone so it's a bit hard, but your project is motivating!

That was my second guess  If you try our current story mode demo you will see what does it really mean to have no up and down references

Being indie is like travelling through the desert, you feel alone and isolated most of the time. Even being two like we are, working alone from home is a pain, just one is even worse of course. Anyway, the best way to get motivated is to play other small games that are "achievable" or to look for feedback for your own game. If you, for example, want me to take a look at what you are doing I will gladly answer you with a constructive feedback
