Ogre Error:'setCustomParameter' is not a member of 'SubEnt

I want to program a application like this:http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/tiki-ind ... e=Cookbook,I copy the code but it is not run and it lists the error as the caption.So I need help .By the way my ogre vertion is 0.13 ,develop tool is visual c++ 6.0.Thanks!

Ogre 0.13 is 10 years out of date. There's probably not much on the wiki that will work on it, there's been a massive amount of changes since then.
Visual Studio 6 hasn't been supported by ogre for quite a few years too.
