Ogre leaks

Post by bash »

Hi,

I am running the latest stable version of 1.0 from downlaods page on linux. I have built the source as it is (configure, make, make install), which I assume is debug mode by default. However when I run an appplication, and then exit, I cannot find OgreLeaks.log anywhere (assuming it should be in the directory the program is run from). This I know will be something very simple, but can someone please tell me what on earth i am doing wrong :?

I have looked into everything illustrated in this post:

Debugging isn't turned on as default. You have to supply -DDEBUG to your CXXFLAGS when you run ./configure.

Sorry to keep this noob thread active but, when I compile my source against the debug version of ogre I get this during linking:

Code: Select all

world.o(.gnu.linkonce.t._Znwj+0x16): In function `operator new(unsigned)':
: undefined reference to `Ogre::MemoryManager::allocMem(char const*, unsigned, unsigned)'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I include the header stuff around my external lib includes as follows:

Code: Select all

#include "OgreNoMemoryMacros.h"
#include <ode/ode.h>
#include "OgreMemoryMacros.h"
Could someone give me an insight into what i'm doing wrong now? :oops:

Thanks

You will need to perform a clean build of OGRE (make clean all) otherwise the compiler might not pick up all the differences the debug mode has made. One of these is to link in the MemoryManager.
