Screen Capture
Ok, I've been digging around for the best screen capture tool. CamStudio works alright, but tends to lag a bit... Fraps is the best and I like it, but I'm having one thing I can't get around. I have an editor (Qt app with an Ogre window inside), and when I record, ONLY the ogre render window records and not the whole app. I can't figure out how to fix that!
So, I'm looking for some input on either a way around that or another open source / shareware utility that can record good video of my Ogre editor app. Any input would be awesome!

Re: Screen Capture
I just found out about Action! and it works great. It's the fastest I've tried for recording a 3D editor (I was using it for UE4, but I assume it should work with others). It's paid though.
For free/open-source, check OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). I've heard good things.

Re: Screen Capture
Sweet. I have OBS on my list to check out, so I'll look at that next. Trying BandiCam at the moment too. Has the same issue as Fraps for not catching my whole window, but if I do a region it seems to do okay without the lag of CamStudio. I'll keep poking. Thanks for the input!

Yup, Open Broadcaster Software seems to be the winner and it's free if anyone else wants to try.
