Development Video - Visual Studio - C++

Post by chaosavy »

Hey guys - not sure if this is the right place to post this.

Here's a vid I made as part of my project's Kickstarter -

I walk through tweaking the game engine to add additional functionality to the weapon system code.

Hope you find this interesting - if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I'm planning on at least two more vids like this - so if you guys feel em worth while/interesting I could bump up this thread with the upcoming ones (one where I tweak the Bullet physics engine to gain additional functionality, and one where I do some tweaks to the cockpit/bridge code to gain more immersion in that view).

Disclaimer - I'm not by any means an expert - so if you see me doing something you don't agree with - you may very well be right :)

Very cool idea, unfortunately the audio is lagging badly in the coding segments.

Yeah I have no idea why.. Driving me nuts - damn cam studio. Its a bit random. I might have to record sound in another manner in the future.

Here's another vid - though it has less coding (the change is very basic to do):

Soonish I'll do a vid where I force Bullet physics into doing something its not intended to do - moving trimeshes collision shapes :)
