So I understand how to record/display 360 2d video, same with forward facing 180 stereo video, but 360 stereo video kinda baffles me. For example, in a scene like this...

Where are the two eyes/cameras positioned? Best I can guess it is just standard forward facing 180/fisheye stereo, x2, back to back? But seems like you would get massive distortion at the sides/edges...
*if you download or hover over the timeline, you can see the video is indeed rendered in stereo/3d (top/bottom).
360 stereo video... how?
