freeimage codec not being loaded at startup?

1.11: built from source

I need .png. The free image codec builds ok and is in the folder. However, ogre is not loading the dll as i can rename it and i get no errors. How to Fix? output is as follows:

Is this a problem with CMake? I know that 1.10 did not have these codec.dlls.
