Animation in 3DS, how to crouch ?

Post by nomisqc »

Hi ! I'm doing an animation using a BIPED system in 3DS MAX 7.

I want the model to bend his knees and kinda crouch...

However, instead of the model going down when I bend the knees, the feet goes up.

I want the feet to remain at all times on the ground (bottom of animation bounding box) but the rest of the body should be able to move along the vertical axe, following the bent of the knees.

Any suggestion on how to achieve this ?

Thanks !

This is a question you should find an answer to in the max manuals, max tutorial sites, etc.
But I know that you can glue the feet of the biped to the 'floor' in max - see the tutorial which comes with max. It's in there.
/* Less noise. More signal. */
Ogitor Scenebuilder - powered by Ogre, presented by Qt, fueled by Passion.
OgreAddons - the Ogre code suppository.
