Could you add it to the Wiki under Tools? :)

Ooo, question though. Nvidia has an awesome normalmap creation plugin for Photoshop -- anyone know if there's something similar floating around for Gimp? I'm assuming not, but you never know.

http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/%7ecocidius/normalmap/ - somebody has done something similar-ish for GIMP. Note that I got this link from Nvidia's tools page (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nv_t ... tools.html).

Ummm I may just be being a retard, but I can't seem to create a wiki account, all I get is the login form, no account creation form appears :S

So yeah unfortunatley I can't post it there atm

Forgive my ignorance, but Gimp to me acts and behaves pretty much like PhotoShop...at least PS4, which is the last one I looked at. ;) It's got the same layout, controls are in the same place and it pretty much mimics what PS4 looked and acted like.

I personally have never had a problem using Gimp as is; maybe I'm strange.

Try making another forum name without wacky characters for the wiki :) I had to do so, too.

Also don't forget CinePaint. http://cinepaint.movieeditor.com

It's the movie industry customised version of The Gimp, with support for integer and floating point hdr image editing (up to 32 bit per channel) and frame by frame editing. Still open source. Code contributed by Sony, ILM and Dreamworks (and others).
