bizarre 24/7 curfew in small town in Arkansas

Anyway, this city has imposed a "24 hour curfew" in a section of the city with the intention to stop crime. They have said that anyone who is found outside of their home, whether walking driving or whatever, is subject to arrest if their reason for travel isn't "good enough". They also say that anyone caught outside can be stopped and searched without reason.

Where is the constitution here? I can't understand how the governor of Arkansas would allow this to happen.

In another thread I suggested that an armed populace helps keep the government in check, but I meant the people at large and their relationship to the federal and maybe the state governments. Who would have guessed that a city government would ever try to suspend the constitution?

These people should be in an absolute revolt against their city.

This city is only four hours away from where I live.

Now this is funny - just a few hours ago I was reading my local newspaper which was published yesterday. One article (not a serious article) mentioned that if you want to experience what it was like to travel to the USSR and go through all the checking at the border, then all you need to do is go to the USA
