Well many may claim otherwise, but it still is a free market worldwide -- Crytek is free to change their terms the same as the intended audience for this offering is free to ignore it.
We'll see what happens (if anything).

It could be (as I've seen happen before) that Crytek's legal department got a bit carried away when asked to come up with a license and weren't really following the spirit of the idea, and it will be revised once people start questioning it.
So far it looks like it's better to just buy a bunch of copies of Crysis and mod that. All the same tools, no contracts to sign.

So they also get to steal all your game ideas? It just keeps getting worse.
The tragedy will be if some university or college signs up for this out of legal incompetence, and then the poor students sign up for it too since they'd have trusted the university to not trap them in some kind of unfair contract. "Yeah, just sign this, it's nothing special, a part of our course work where we get to use the Crytek engine. You'll need to hand it in before you can get a passing grade."

I doubt anybody would be that stupid. And honestly, if, I would not shed many tears for them.
