Requiem Avenging Angel was a christian themed (or maybe "inspired" would be a better term) game which was pretty cool.

I wonder if a devil worshiper would have posted here for a game and advertize it how many true christians would have kept their mouth shout. Is easy to be quiet and allmighy when you have nothing against. Since i don't care about religion nor any deity i can say this is a true spam, asking for donations in the name of Christ (cheristianity beeing a religion based mostly on fear and missconception) is a rip off of human decency.
Anyway, the thread should only be part of the Off-topic forum and that because some of us are still "afraid" to touch something "goodsent". I would have erased it in a second if it was to drive this forum by my personal opinion. Is by no means related to Ogre nor a decent project proposal (they adjusted the software part where it would have helped them to advertise on free forums (ogre, crystal space, irrlicht) but anyother areas encompases all the "usual programs")

Also, the poster which truly believes he is under the law of god should have been already persecuted for have it done the sin of posting into a forum where he knows he doesn't have the right to do it so. He must have read the rules and as "holy" as he is he could had erased the thread when he knew he is not allowed to deceive people in here. But of course they only see the bright side, god is with us, god speaks with us. I wonder what kind of moral decency do you need to be convinced you cannot be touched by any of the "mortal" sins or rules of the ones beside you!?

If we are wrong and this is a serious project and not spam. Then I have one suggestion. Hire someone professional to do all the public relations work (including hiring other people) for you and don't do it by yourself, because you clearly don't know how to do it. It may be bluntly said but it is an advice which you should listen to if you are serious about your project.

This thread alone is already proof of a failure from you and if you want to turn the image of your project then do not make posts anymore like you did here. Get someone professional to do it for you. It is a friendly advice.

I'd have to agree with reptor above on his suggestion to get someone else to handle public relations. Whether it be a language barrier, lack of writing prowess, or just plain... craziness on the OP's part- there is more harm being done to their image than good.

I've seen a whole slew of "crazies" posting lately. This guy sounds almost exactly like the fellow talked about here. There is a fair bit of reading to get the point I'm making, so a basic breakdown would be that:

* When criticism comes into play, no matter how helpful... the OP responds with comments like "this is not for you", or "you are childish", or even "get out".

* Any level of grammatical skill is socked in the face, then thrown out a second story window. Paragraphs do not exist, everything is one giant blob of text. Heck, even periods and commas are on vacation.

* Multiple sites are home to the same riff-raff. Posting on several sites, while ignoring rules, common sense, etc are common with the "crazies".

So listen dcworks- you should be glad you were received half as politely and respected as you were. There is definitely a lingering curiosity about your sincerity/validity on this matter, but when you do the math... it's to be expected from such a mature and intelligent community. We've all seen plenty of "crazies" on the big interweb thingy. They've wasted our time, our patience, and valuable database space.

I'm not accusing you of being one of these crazies, but rather informing you that you come off as one. It's obvious you have the will to embark on this project, but it's not so obvious that you have the skills to do so. Read these couple of tips, and seriously think about them:

1. There are no references to past projects, which always helps with recruiting to a great degree. If your team has worked on previous projects, share them with us.

2. Your public relations skills are quite lacking. Again, this goes a long way when recruiting. Consider practicing this yourself (away from a judgmental public's eye), or tasking someone else with more experience to handle this.

Your actions define your image. It's the way the internet works. What I mean by this, is that you post a bunch of illiterate and crazy spammish sounding threads, breaking the rules of whatever community you happen to be at... well people remember that, and relate it to you and your team. And of course, your game. Also remember, that since you are doing this from a religious angle, you are representing (your) God.

If a pastor came up to me and sounded like you, and I mean no disrespect by this- I'm sorry but I wouldn't want to visit that church. Now you aren't trying to get people to go to your church, but help develop your game or play it. But the premise still stands...

Sadly, as someone else stated, I think this is a scam. I've seen this method used many times before. Roll into a community, setup a gateway. This being, relate to the community in some fashion. Somewhere in there, you get people visiting some site that asks for donations. It's not really "phishing", but it sure it close. I simply hope this isn't the case here, but there is a lot of hints to it being so...

This smells like sekt, or at least someone trying to get free labour abusing peoples religion to trick them into it, which I find highly disgusting. I don't think a true and sincere christian would have to ride on it in that plakative sunday press style, with all the captialized "OH LORD" and "GOD" talk.

If you are a such humble servant to god, then a simple mention of your religion would be enough to attract like minded people and you should know that, modesty is after all a christian virtue and ideal.

Maybe go and try to sell newspapers to feeble minded people instead?
