I have a level made in 3d studio, its imported from super mario 64, and imported to max as vrml, i´ve renamed all the parts of it and i´ve aplied several materials for it.
i´ve been trying to expor it with octopus, etc . I atached all the parts into one but the exporter says Unknow struct member : #first name
my questions are:
can i apply several materials for my scene?
(i´ve used standard with bitmap)
with ogre exporter i think i can export the mesh but when i tried to view it the meshviewer crashed
i am new with ogre.

How to export a scene in 3d sudio 7 to Ogre?

The meshviewer is notoriously unable to load meshes succesfully if you don't copy all textures, meshes and material scripts into it's working folder.
Sounds like you are not creating OGRE materials in max, before exporting. (Or at least give them some sensible names - without spaces or weird characters).

You do, if you want a single mesh.andonisan wrote:Do i need to atach all objects in one?
You should use multimaterial in max. Give different material ids to your differently textured polys in max.andonisan wrote:If i do that how i can ude the textures on each part of the sene?
I believe there's info and links to video tutorials on the Ogre Wiki.
