Include OIS lib in Code::Blocks dependencies

Post by tgraupmann »

I stumbled across the fact that the OIS code::blocks libs were not bundled with the Code::Blocks dependencies.

I was able to build them from here, but why not include it like the other libs.

Same deal for CEGUI.

you don't need the ois, cegui libs. CB & MingW links against the the DLLs (build options ->search directories->linker->"..\..\Common\bin\$(TARGET_NAME)"). You can find these files in OgreDependencies_CBMinGW_Eihort_20070325.zip under downloads.

For CodeBlocks, you link against DLLs, not libs. (Same with gcc, what mingw uses).

My Ogre samples built just fine. I'm looking at a project that statically linked to these libs.

Does statically linking to the OIS libs and the CEGUI libs violate the license if used commercially?

AFAIK: OIS requires you to get hold of an alternative license, like Ogre.
CEGUI is under the BSD (or MIT, can remember).
/* Less noise. More signal. */
Ogitor Scenebuilder - powered by Ogre, presented by Qt, fueled by Passion.
OgreAddons - the Ogre code suppository.

Actually, OIS is under the zlib/libpng license - even more liberal than BSD license ;-)
