Has anybody got the chance to test Ogre on the icore7?
If so was there a significant performance difference?

Have you been able to find one for sale? I checked with my usual suspects and I don't see it available yet.

I don't think it would change anything as Ogre's main bottlenecks are gpu bounds, isn't it?

I heard it's not a big performance boost for games, but anyway it is for most applications (i think it can help c++ compilation with some recent compilers...)..

Yeah the new core 7 is GPU bound. It screams in Far Cry 2 if you have 3xSLI GTX 280 though.

The second graph is the most interesting, shows that with a single card the FPS is flat 52fps across all resolutions 1024x768 through 2560x1600

Stick in 3 GPUS in sli and 1024x768 runs at a whopping 139FPS!!! and a respectable 83fps at 2560x1600. Quite a leap from 52FPS with one GPU

Only one with more money than brain would buy 3 280gtx's tho.

Hmm... How do you convert them into a common unit?

Money = 200 $
Brain = 100 ?? (brain-units? 'bu'?)

Anyway, I think money and brain would be orthogonal.
