Screen shakes at high resolution [SOLVED]

I'm using my 40" HDTV as my computer monitor (very sweet), and when I change the resolution to 1920x1080 the picture looks great, but any repainting is shaky. That is, the screen itself looks normal, but when anything moves such as scrolling a window, typing, progress bar advacing, even the smilies on this page, they shake. I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card (no, I haven't updated the drivers so I'll do that after I post), and I'm connected using a DVI-HDMI cable. This doesn't happen at lower resolutions, but when you have a 40" display 2 feet away, you want a higher resolution!
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? It's driving me nuts!

For example, when I would type, the character and cursor would wobble back and forth about 5 times really fast, like someone had bumped the monitor.

But nm, I fixed it. I updated the drivers, which at first broke things more. Every other line on the screen was screwed up, like they didn't line up. I had to navigate the nVidia console with the screwed up display and change the HD settings from 1080i to 1080p and that fixed it. Good advice for anyone else who hooks up their PC to an HDTV.

Good to hear. The FX5200 has (I think) dual outputs -- you could also just have hooked up another monitor.

Well we have the original monitor, but who wants to use a weak little 19" when they have a 40" HDTV?!?!
