Due to the many *intelligent* spammers on this forum, please notice:
Choose your first post wisely.
Do not post off topic.
Be very specific.
Do not write: I have the same problem as he does
Use your common sense.
Failure to convince the moderators will result in your account being deactivated.
It will take some convincing to make us re-activate you.
So be considerate.

Re: Warning New Users
More specifically -- these are not social forums. If your first (and only) post is a reply (regardless how intelligent or lame) to a topic in the Lounge/Off-Topic forum, expect your account to be deactivated. For that matter, if your first N posts are replies to months/years-old topics, or lame, or both -- you'll be deactivated or deleted/banned.
We're really getting tired of dealing with the spammers (and in all likelihood, "we ain't seen nothin' yet"), so our Admin fingers are on a hair-trigger. We've seen pretty much every trick in the book, and these forums are *incredibly* well-moderated around the clock.
So, spammers: If you think you are going to slip one by us -- we err on the side of keeping these forums free of you. Furthermore -- bots are blocked from crawling user profiles, so it's kinda pointless in the first place. Don't waste your time, and stop wasting ours.
Apologies in advance to legitimate new users (who may just be shy) but desperate times, desperate measures.
You've been warned.

Re: Warning New Users
Attention:
We have zero tolerance, so think before posting.
Put yourself in our shoes - Ogre3D is popular, not only among good guys like the majority of you, but unfortunately also among the scum of the 'net.
If you are deactivated, and you believe we made a mistake, feel free to send an email to the Ogre3D Admin and ask to be activated (find the email address on the main site under 'Contact').
We do make mistakes - you can't make an omelette without breaking an egg or two.
So please think before making your first posts.
