Backstory
dermont won originally won my competition, but later he found out his son already has it. So he's giving it away for free for anyone who wants it.
While not an obsessive Portal fan, I still liked it, and noticed Portal 2 was out early the other day on Steam. I figured I should play it before the spoilers got out.
My verdict is that it's very good, if you like the first you should like the second. Can't really say much more without giving stuff away... and there's a lot of stuff to give away. Suffice to say they've been very creative at how to extend the original, both in terms of mechanics and storyline.
One thing though, still feels too short. Not just because it was so much fun... but also because I would have liked a little more value for money. I haven't done co-op yet so I suppose I might yet get some more mileage out of it. For people who aren't massive fans, and who don't care if they hear a few of the twists and turns in advance, it might be better to wait six months for the price to come down a bit.
And I wouldn't have minded a few more extra-fiendish puzzles with lots of components. Perhaps future DLC will add some.
