Where we are at it, here is a source of *very* high quality textures: http://www.mayang.com/textures/.
Textures are free for all uses, for specific license conditions see the license text on the page.

IMHO, textures are valuable when they can be seamlessly tiled. But it requires some efforts. Textures that are merely digital photos (like those on www.mayang.com ) can be produced by anyone who has got a digital camera. Anyway, nice pictures!

I wonder why there´s a link to CrystalSpace, and not to OGRE?

I have found a good site for scifi-models: http://scifi3d.theforce.net/
There are some free models from Star Wars or Star Trek.
People who wants to develop a spaceshooter, would love that site.

I've just found and visited an interesting site with lots of cheap and free textures, models, tutorials etc. Maybe, it would be useful to someone. http://www.the3dstudio.com
