I've just subscribed this forum, so I will introduce myself. I'm a 23 years old student in a French game design/production management school named Supinfogame (site in french).
This year, I have to work (with six other students in my group) on a game project which we have to prototype before mid-June 2009. Everyone in the team has its own speciality and as you understood, I'm the programmer
The game we are working on is named Knockin'Dead (site in French and English). Very shortly, it's a management game in which one the player has to control four characters trapped inside a closed place (school, church, tanker...) surrounded by zombies. The only thing which is sure is that they will broke the multiple exits which protects the survivors. But in how long? The player has to manage the four characters through a split-screen system to they reinforce their position while finding a way to escape.
As you understood, we have chosen to use Ogre3D for our prototype. At this time, we've done the core of the game like state management, input, sound, .scene loading, multi viewport system... a lot of things are left! I really like programming for this engine which is really powerfull and very well documented.
I'll probably need your help in the coming weeks, but till then if you've any question, don't hesitate!
